Sheilingmoss Farmhouse is your luxury escape in the heart of nature. Located on the Scottish Border, this beautiful four-bedroom retreat comes with a private hot tub, offering serene views of the River Liddel and surrounded by 50 acres of picturesque farmland.

Upon entering, the utility room on your left provides practicality with its full-sized fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, and a farmhouse sink. Adjacently, the family bathroom features a WC, sink, and a bath with an overhead shower. The heart of the ground floor is the fully-equipped farmhouse kitchen, boasting an electric oven, induction hob, barista coffee machine, and a dining table for eight. Every detail, from the cocktail glasses to the 60-inch smart TV, enhances the experience. Further down, a cozy bedroom with a double bed and smart TV awaits, while the spacious living room offers plush seating for eight, another smart TV, and a crackling log burning stove for those colder evenings. Opposite the living space, the games room invites guests to challenge each other over a game of snooker.

Ascending to the first floor, discover three luxurious bedrooms. The first boasts a king bed, walk-in wardrobe, dressing table, and an ensuite with a WC, sink, and walk-in shower. The second bedroom features twin beds, similar amenities, and its own ensuite. Lastly, the third bedroom, complete with a king bed, offers an ensuite with a WC, sink, and a bath.

Step outside and enjoy 50 acres of unspoiled farmland with access to over a mile of river frontage. The hot tub offers an unparalleled view of Liddel Water, while the patio furniture and gas BBQ set the stage for memorable outdoor gatherings. 

Nestled in the tranquil Liddel Valley, Sheilingmoss is surrounded by private farmland and just a stone’s throw away from the banks of the River Liddel on the Scottish side of the border, with England in view and only meters away. Despite its secluded location, the property is easily accessible, being just 50 meters from the main road, and a car is essential to explore the nearby attractions.

Historic Carlisle, the main shopping, commercial, and industrial hub in northern Cumbria and southern Scotland, is only 15 miles away, boasting a wide selection of bars, restaurants, and shops.

The Lake District, England’s largest National Park, is only a forty-minute drive away, featuring awe-inspiring natural wonders like Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, and Wastwater, the deepest lake. The charming towns of Keswick, Ambleside and Windermere are all accessible for a day out.

For those seeking a unique experience, Gretna, only 9 miles away, is a world-famous destination for weddings, with over 4,000 couples tying the knot here each year. The town also boasts an outlet shopping centre with stores like Ralph Lauren, Nike, Addidas, and M&S.

• Logs for fire. One extra large basket of logs will be provided. If you run out you can arrange for it to be refilled at a cost of £30.

Wildlife: We are fortunate to have an abundance of wildlife on our doorstep including deer, otters, bats and honeybees. Please be mindful to limit light and noise pollution at night and respect the wildlife.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the booking value with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Damage Deposit: Guests will need to pay a refundable Damage Deposit of £450 prior to their stay.
