Another master en suite room is conveniently located on the ground floor, along with a charming bunk bedroom that's perfect for children or additional guests. After a day of exploring, relax and unwind in the outdoor hot tub and fire pit area, while the soothing sound of the river sets the perfect tone for a memorable evening with friends and family.

Minetrack is a 5 bedroom luxury log cabin located right on the edge of Cumbria overlooking the England-Scotland border, offering stunning 360° views of Liddel Valley and the river Liddel from the panoramic balcony.

As you enter the property, you’ll be greeted by a stunning hand-built spiral staircase made from locally sourced timber. The ground floor boasts an open-plan central living, dining, and kitchen area, bathed in natural light, with comfy seating, a Bose music system, and a 60″ TV. The beautiful log burning stove provides the perfect setting for relaxing in the evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals and the large opening glass doors lead to a private deck with outdoor relaxation space.

Upstairs, you’ll find three master en suite bedrooms with stunning countryside views, featuring large window walls that showcase the beauty of the surrounding area and bring the outside in. On the ground floor, there is another master ensuite room with direct access to the outdoor patio and hot tub area; and a bunk bedroom, designed to accommodate children or additional guests.

Minetrack offers guests the ultimate retreat experience, with exclusive access to the Liddel’s river banks and surrounding woodlands. After a day exploring the scenic countryside, the outdoor hot tub and fire pit area provide the perfect place to relax and unwind with friends or family. The balcony area, which overlooks the serene Liddel Water, features its own outdoor seating area, BBQ, and wood-fired pizza oven – perfect for an al fresco meal or an evening under the stars.

Nestled in the tranquil Liddel Valley, Minetrack is surrounded by lush woodlands and just a stone’s throw away from the banks of the River Liddel on the English side of the border, with Scotland in view and only meters away. Despite its secluded location, the cabins are easily accessible, being just 50 meters from the main road, and a car is essential to explore the nearby attractions.

Historic Carlisle, the main shopping, commercial, and industrial hub in northern Cumbria and southern Scotland, is only 15 miles away, boasting a wide selection of bars, restaurants, and shops.

The Lake District, England’s largest National Park, is only a forty-minute drive away, featuring awe-inspiring natural wonders like Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, and Wastwater, the deepest lake. The charming towns of Keswick, Ambleside and Windermere are all accessible for a day out.

For those seeking a unique experience, Gretna, only 9 miles away, is a world-famous destination for weddings, with over 4,000 couples tying the knot here each year. The town also boasts an outlet shopping centre with stores like Ralph Lauren, Nike, Addidas, and M&S.

A visit to Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site is a must for history enthusiasts, with its many Roman forts, towns, and museums showcasing the story of Roman Britain.

  • Maximum of 2 pets at a charge of £50 per pet by prior arrangement only.
  • Pets. You may bring a maximum of 2 pets with you at a charge of £50 per pet. Must be arranged prior to arrival.
  • Logs for fire. One extra large basket of logs will be provided. If you run out you can arrange for it to be refilled at a cost of £30. Please note: logs provided are for indoor wood stove only, please bring your own or purchase more if you wish to use the outdoor fire pit & wood fired pizza oven.

Wildlife: We are fortunate to have an abundance of wildlife on our doorstep including deer, otters, bats and honeybees. Please be mindful to limit light and noise pollution at night and respect the wildlife.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the booking value with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Damage Deposit: Guests will need to pay a refundable Damage Deposit of £850 prior to their stay.
